DEI, SpaceX, and Russian consumer confidence have something in common: they’re all collapsing.
Is that a ragebait headline? Sure. But the charts back it up.
There’s a lot of chatter about a sustainability recession. When executives were asked which “sustainability” initiatives are getting rolled back, 44% pointed to DEI clawbacks. Compare this to only 10% who expecting a slow down in climate transition investment.
Meanwhile, the masters of the universe on Wall Street put out a bevy of research notes pegging SpaceX between $205 (Goldman Sachs) and $300 (Morgan Stanley). The price as of July 24? $113. Whoops.
Finally, it has taken four years, but Ukraine has succeeded in making the average Russian feel this war. Consumer confidence is collapsing, and the pivot from oil infrastructure to shipping to online retailers is why…. turns out being agile isn’t just a good strategy for software development.
Until next week, friends.
Why are CPC votes such an outlier on this? Sad to see climate so polarized.
